30 Nov The honour that Allah SWT gives to those who have the Quran with them
In 2023, Malaysia was shaken by the tragedy of a private jet crashing onto the highway, killing a motorcyclist and a car driver too. In total, 10 lives were lost.
Innaa lillahi wa innaa ilaihi roji’un.
What I wanted to draw your attention to was the fact that one of the passengers on the jet was a haafiz of the Quran. It was mentioned that there were approximately 200 pieces of body parts that had to be removed from the crash site but Allah Ta’ala had preserved the body of the Haafiz and kept it intact, subhan Allah. Only his shirt was burnt. His hair, vest and trousers were untouched by the fire. This is Allah Ta’ala protecting his awrah too. Subhan Allah. Doesn’t it remind us of the hadeeth to the nearest meaning the heart that has the Quran within it, fire will not touch it?
The motorcyclist that passed away was an ex-student of a Madrassah, and only memorised some ajzaa of the Quran. He was crawling away to safety due to the flames from the passenger jet that had exploded upon impact. The flames were not the normal flames that we see in the kitchen on the stove. Far from that. These were intense flames, with such scorching heat that had the ability to melt metal. Even though a passerby tried his best to put out the fire on the man using a fire extinguisher, he couldn’t. However, in that situations, Allah Ta’ala still blessed him with a husnul khaatimah. He had the name ‘Allah’ on his lips before he passed away. Allahu akbar.
Another incident which happened, again in Malaysia, was that a family of 6 was hit by a trailer that was carrying sand from the opposite direction. Those who passed away instantly were a couple, both huffaz, their three daughters whom they were on their way sending them to their hifz Madrassah and their youngest son, a 5 year old boy. Their 15 year old son survived the accident albeit with serious injuries. Alhamdulillah he is stable now. If we look at the condition of their car, we would think that no way anyone could have survived. Their car was damaged very badly but even then, all those that passed away, their bodies were intact, subhan Allah. Their eldest son, also a haafiz, who was not involved in the accident with them, lead their funeral prayers. How fortunate the parents must be to have their son pray their jenazah solah for them in this day and age. Masha Allah.
May Allah Ta’ala give the remaining two sons the strength to go through this test. Surely, this was no ordinary family. Allah Ta’ala tests those whom he loves and insha Allah, the brothers and his family have a high rank in Allah Ta’ala’s sight. Allahu ‘alam.
This is definitely proof and testimony that Allah Ta’ala honours and preserves those that have the Quran within them.
May Allah Ta’ala make us from His special servants through our love and connection with the Quran. Ameen.
