14 Sep The reality of this world
“Do not be deceived by the prosperity of the disbelievers throughout the land. It is only a brief enjoyment. Then Hell will be their home—what an evil place to rest!” (Surah Ali-Imran, 3:196-7)
لَا يَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِى ٱلۡبِلَـٰدِ (١٩٦) مَتَـٰعٌ۬ قَلِيلٌ۬ ثُمَّ مَأۡوَٮٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۚ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ (١٩٧)
In these verses, we find proof that the a fraction of paradise is better than the entire dunya.

Next time you are hit with hardship or adversity, remember the little value of this world in the eyes of Allah, and its temporal existence. May Allah grant us proximity to Him SWT in the everlasting abode.
