My weekly dosage of Hifdh inspiration!

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Assalaamu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

The Hifdh Journey, like Faith, is inspiring & empowering. It lends to the nourishment of heart, mind & soul.

I’ve always maintained that regardless of whether one is a beginner, an advanced student or a completed Haafidha we should always be in search of a healthy dosage of inspiration.

It may at times manifest in print, picture or discourse. Personally, I’ve found that by ensuring a balanced amount of inspiration in my efforts, I am able to consciously renew my commitment & dedication to the preservation of alQur’aan. Inspiration also ‘awakens us to new possibilities’, as Scott Barry Kaufman’s article (dated November 8, 2011) in Harvard Business Review indicates.

In the world of Hifdh, this translates into multiple opportunities and avenues for me to explore how, for example, I can consistently review & strengthen my hifdh, empower my students, and introduce ‘hifdhing’ to more individuals in our sisterhood of Islam.

This week’s motivation came to me in a simple IM from a sister in New Zealand: her 4 sons are Qur’aan memorisers & she herself is enrolled in a Fee Qalbee online mentorship class (geared specifically towards supporting mothers of aspiring Huffaadh). I immediately took to entering it in my gratitude journal, maing note to share with the people who inspire me most from their Hifdh Journeys: you, the  readers & students of Fee Qalbee:

Simple words, yet so full of depth & meaning; worthy of mindful reflection. I have so much to be grateful for, truly I am blessed.

And so are you, dear friends, alHumdolillah!

What inspired your Hifdh Journey this week? i’d love to know! (Please post in the blog comments below)

Stay Inspired!
