22 Jul The World of Hifdh: the days of Mercy & righteous scholars
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Assalaamu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullah,
***
AlHamdulillah, last night (1 Ramadhaan 1433) Hafidh Jassat (Ustaadh of Darul-Uloom Azaadville, South Africa) managed to recite the entire Qur’aan in the taraweeh Salaah .
Starting at 7:30pm they concluded the Witr Salaah at 5:27am. Enough time for a glass of water for Suhoor!
We make dua that Allah accepts his and his muqtadis efforts and makes this humble effort of theirs an inspiration to one and all, Aameen.

Hadhrat Mawlana Ghulam Muhammad Gheewala rahmatullahi alayh of 103 Vulcan Rd, Leicester has passed away. He was in his late 80s.
By the testimony of Hadhrat Mawlana Gora sahib, he was one of the first Muslims and pioneering ulama of Leicester, who served without a wage as the 1st imam of the city over 55 years ago in the 1960s in the first masjid, a house on Sutherland St, and then later as the 1st imam of Masjid ul Noor.
He graduated from Darul Uloom Deoband in 1947 and studied Bukhari with Shaykhul Islam Hadhrat Mawlana Husayn Ahmad Madani rahmatullahi alayh. He was very charitable supporting masajid, madaris, ulama, and welfare projects all over the world.
Even in this late age he did well over 500 khatms of the Quran in the past 7 years alone, and would rise regularly at 3am for ibadah, even when travelling. He passed away today (yesterday) after suhoor whilst reciting tasbeeh and falling into sujood. May Allah have mercy on him.
Allahumagh fir lahu war hamhu wa sakkinhu fil jannah,
Allahumagh fir lahu war hamhu wa adkhilhu fil jannah,
Allahummagh fir lahu war hamhu wa rowwih hu fil jannah.
