Malaysian State Launches Quran Memorization Education Policy

— Malaysia’s Selangor government has launched a Quran Memorization (Tahfiz) Education Policy aimed at creating professional memorizers by 2020.

Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said the policy was formulated by Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) and Selangor Quran Memorization Committee.

“The policy targets 500 Quran professional memorizers by 2020 and plans to ensure that memorization institutes are professionally managed by 2015,” he said when opening the Quran memorization contest and launch of Selangor Memorization Education Policy last night.

This program is excellent. I recommend they should contact Mr. Tansel Ali, current Australian Memory Sports Champion (& Muslim) for highly effective memory techniques for training of memory trainers. he can be found http://www.tanselali.com or contact him directly on 0414740700. He already helps out the local Muslim community in Australia to memorise Qur’an and memory in general.
