08 Dec Admirable efforts, Lasting Legacies!

Assalaamu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullah,
Dear Sisters,
May this week bring you & I great benefit in drawing closer to Allah Ta’ala, in reading The Glorious Book & memorising its Precious Words, inshaa Allah.
During the Eid break, I had the opportunity to view the ‘Rare Books & Manuscripts’ exhibit at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt. SubhaanAllah! There were translated copies of Al Qur’aan in languages as diverse as Russian, Croatian, Japanese, Bosnian & tafaaseer of some of the most illustrious scholars of the past. These precious documents and transcripts were restored & scholars & experts alike went to great depths to ensure that future generations will always know & remember the long-lasting leagacy of Islamic Knowledge. Really, this was so humbling! Something to be proud of as muslims – we have such an amazing, powerful heritage of knowledge & wisdom & books! The central focus point being, Al Qur’aan Al Kareem! Thank You Allah, for making us a part of this honourable ummah, for making us reciters of The Glorious Book, Alhamdulillah! Make us of those who preserve its Mighty Words in our minds & hearts, Yaa Rabb!
Unfortunately, photographs were not allowed:( So I thought I’d share with you some pictures from the Holy Qur’aan Printing Complex in Saudi Arabia – Amazing efforts being made too, as literally thousands of copies of Al Qur’aan are printed and then distributed, Alhamdulillah!In viewing these photo’s, one is humbled by the reminder of the efforts being made on a daily basis-all over the world-to preserve the great spiritual legacy & love of the Qur’aan for future generations to come!
