Al Qur’aan – My Personal Book

Al Qur’aan – My Personal Book

Bismillah

Assalaamu ‘alaykum,

The Qur’aan should be regarded as one’s personal book. It is a book of guidance, it is an eternal book, a heavenly book, but it is my personal book! It is also my personal guide which mentions my personal weaknesses and refers to my personal illnesses also.

Everyone can do some soul-searching in the Qur’aan. But this will happen only when you regard it as a living book, take it to be your personal book and you really want to eform yourself! People can be reformed later on, but first desire your own reformation.

The way of the Prophets (‘alayhimus salaam) was that before they could speak to others, they desired guidance for themselves. Most of us read the Qur’aan so that it could be a source for us, or to put others to shame or to establish a prrof against them. But the Sahaaba (radiyallahu ‘anhum) used to read the Qur’aan for their own reformation & enlightenment.

~Jumu’a Mubaaruk & may Allah Ta’ala make you & i from amongst those who live their lives by Al Qur’aan, seeking guidance, reformation & enlightenment through its recitation & memorisation, aameen~

Tahfeedhul Qur’aan..Bi ithnillah!

Rayhaanah
