29 Jun The names & descriptions of the Glorious Qur’aan
Bismillah
Assalaamu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullah,
Oh aspiring Haafidhah!
Whilst the journey of learning Al Qur’aan is distinguished by an abundance of memorisation, revision & practise, let us always seek to remind ourselves of the greatness of the Divine Words which we preserve in our hearts..For, this is no ordinary book nor word..it is a light, a guidance, a wise reminder, a mercy & a mighty revelation, subhaanAllah! Blessed, fortunate & indeed honoured are those whom Allah Ta’ala has CHOSEN to memorise His Revelation!
I’d like to share with you one of my favourite statements-it’s one of those quotations that constantly inspire me to build a strong, fortified relationship with Al Qur’aan –
‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan Radiyalllahu ‘Anhu said:
“If our hearts were truly pure, we would never get enough of the Words of our Lord…and I hate that one day passes with me not looking in the Mushaf.” [Al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah]
