Our Mission

The beloved of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, the Prophet Muhammad sallalahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Uthman bin Affan reported: The Prophet, sallalahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”[Al Bukhari]

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala guide and help us in keeping sincere intentions and remaining steadfast with our Quran commitment – ameen.

Learning Approach

Regardless of where a student is in memorization, we hope that they will find our sessions uplifting, informative and solution-focused.

We seek to inspire, guide, and support students with both short-term and long-term memorization goals, bi ithnillaah.

Learning Pledge

Etiquette:

For each individual to ensure that they uphold the following key principles:

  • Punctuality
  • Attendance
  • Completion of all assigned homework

Maintenance & Retention Plan:

It is a requirement for all students to ensure that they are making a daily, conscious effort to connect to the Quran and actively striving to fulfil their hifdh goals within realistic timeframes.

This would require commitment to a combination of the following methods (more of which will be discussed with each student):

  • Listening to audio recitation: minimum 15 minutes daily
  • Including in Qiyaam: minimum of 2 salah daily
  • Revising with Mushaf in an audible tone: 20 – 30 minutes daily
  • Readiness:
  • for the student to ensure that she has prepared to the best of her ability for her session
  • She should be online 5 minutes before the start of lesson time and indicate this to her teacher

Lesson Flow

Requirements:

  • A computer with high-speed Internet connection
  • A personal WhatsApp number or Skype account
  • The student’s personal Mushaf (a printed copy of the Quran – NOT digital)

Attendance:
  • Cancellation policy: a minimum notification of 12 hours prior to the student’s scheduled slot.
  • If, due to an emergency, a student needs to cancel a lesson, please email to: info@theartofresonance.co.uk . The student will then be issued with options for a replacement lesson.
  • In the event of poor internet connection once the lesson has begun (on the part of either student or the teacher), the lesson will be rescheduled.
  • In the event that a student fails to attend more than 40% of scheduled sessions without a valid reason, she will be provided with a warning; following which, if this pattern continues into the next month, her lesson membership will be suspended for 3 months.
