12 May Rajab & Ramadhan readiness
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Assalaamu ‘alaykum wa Rahmatullah
AHumdulillah, by the time most of you read this post, the new moon will have heralded the commencement of Rajab and the imminent approach of the esteemed guest, Ramadhan. And by now, the countdown for all huffaadh and students, should have begun!
How are pre-Ramadhan Qur’aan preparations coming along for you?
A brief checklist:
- Am I consistent in daily revision?
- Am I aware of established errors and making concerted efforts to correct these errors as soon as possible?
- Have I begun incorporating all / most of my older revision into my qiyaam (in salaah) throughout the day?
On a weekly basis, review your Ramadhan goal outlines with your hifdh teacher or mentor, to ensure that you are consistently performing to achieve your aspirations.
With ongoing review, we are easily able to detect our weaker points in hifdh and work on strengthening and improving before the onset of Ramadhan.
There is one vital question we all need to be asking ourselves during the next 8 weeks, and that is:
What can I do differently this Ramadhan to ensure a stronger connection to alQur’aan?
